New Job Electronic Technician - MXD-OPSTEC-GLOS Industry: Aerospace Job Type: Contract Location: Gloucestershire, England Salary: £12.00 - £25.00 per hour Job Role: Electronic Technician Job Type: Contract Duration: 6 Months Industry: Defence/Aerospace Location: Gloucestershire Rate: £12.00 to £25.00 Profile Our client is a global defence and aerospace contractor who supply sophisticated technological solutions worldwide. Over the last decade they have grown both organically and via acquisition and look to increase their technical resource to accommodate future expansion plans. Purpose To undertake fault diagnosis of returned items; provide a comprehensive strip report; create an accurate pick-list for each repair and carry out final inspection of repaired / modified units back to the customer. To test and diagnose faults on all products as required. To build, inspect and test new products to company documentation and quality standards. Duties -Provide a fault report to tight client deadlines for all returns once agreed by the customer -Maintain repairs live files to allow repair administration and control to be carried out efficiently -Ensure that customer return data is correct at all times -Report weekly the status of returns and raise reject tickets as required -Identify problems/issues and recommend solutions to prevent recurrence -Cover inspection duties as required within production -Assist in training operators as required to achieve both approved operator and fitter/tester levels -Support and engage in lean improvement activities Experience and Qualifications -Have experience of inspection within an engineering environment -Have good knowledge of quality procedures and processes such as ISO 9001 -Have appropriate engineering / electronic qualifications to at least ONC and preferably HNC l -Technician apprenticeship trained or equivalent -Have sound communication skills - verbal, written and IT For more information regarding this role please call Mark Davis on 01453 829529 or to make an application send a CV to [email protected].
