New Job Health, Safety and Evironment Officer - 478656111 Industry: Manufacturing and Production Job Type: Permanent Location: Berkshire, England Salary: £30000 - £35000 per annum Job Title: Health, Safety and Environment Officer Location: Berkshire Salary: £30k - £35k My client require a HSE Officer for their site in Berkshire who will have overall responsibility for the management of Environment and Health and Safety issues on site. Responsibilities: * Ensure site EHS targets are achieved * Chair regular site Safety Development Group meetings * Implement EHS corporate and site procedures * Undertake EHS risk assessments of the process and review at regular intervals * Conduct site EHS audits, report and follow up actions * Ensure all routine EHS tests are completed * Regularly review EHS performance, identify trends and actions as required * Ensure compliance with the requirements of any legislation, Local Authority permits or EHS Management Systems * Train personnel in EHS disciplines * Monitor/review customer feedback and identify areas for improvement * Assist site personnel to focus on identifying hazards, near misses and observations and putting in place preventative measures * Carry out 5s audits as requested Qualifications and Experience The right candidate will hold, the NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health, in addition to environmental related qualifications. Will have a knowledge of the hazards and risks associated with manufacturing plant and equipment. Will have experience in conducting audits, will have an understanding of the 5s process Will have working knowledge of Lean Principles and will champion problem solving/continuous improvement.
