New Job Help Desk Engineer - VNK QHELP Industry: IT Job Type: Permanent Location: Berkshire, England Salary: £25000 - £30000 per annum + 25% SHIFT WORK ALLOWANCE Help Desk Engineer Newbury (Berkshire) £28,000 per annum + 25% shift allowance A global technical organisation based in Newbury are looking to recruit a Help Desk Engineer to join their team to provide customers with explempory and efficient after sales technical support in the event of equipment failure or operational enquiries. You will be required to understand and develop skills in the organisations Product Range and help manage the training programme. As a Help Desk Engineer your experience will include: *Dealing with requests in a timely manner and inline with published Operational Level Agreements (OLAs). *Experienced in providing support via a remote assistance, working on a live customers system. *To be fully converse with Jira and able to raise requests in this tracking product with the customer details validated ensuring an active contract is in place prior to providing support. *All incidents progressed and appropriate remedial action taken within OLAs and in line with process *To have a clear understanding of the Support Escalation Process and instigate when required. *Escalate queries *Engage Regional Offices when required to ensure incidents are actively progressed during out of hours periods in the UK. *To maintain availability on the system ensuring all phone calls are answered promptly and work to meet the departmental target of an abandonment rate of 5% or less. *Updating training matrix. *To carry out specific support functions at the weekends and during quiet periods, which include oProgressing Assigned to Customer and Parked Incidents. oHealth and safety of Equipment room oSoftware (fix/patch) testing. The salary guide is £28,000 + 25% shiftwork allowance.
