New Job Interim CFO - 11894/001 Industry: Accountancy Job Type: Contract Location: West Midlands, England Salary: £450 - £600 per day My client a PE house is close to completing a deal to acquire an SME business. The business is currently part of a larger Group and is loss making. My client believes with the right management in place the business can be turned-around and material enterprise value can be created. Immediately on acquisition an Interim CFO will be required to quickly manage the finances of the business. Critically these will include the provision of accurate timely financial information to funders which will include those offering a CID facility. In is planned that the stand alone business will agree to a transitional service agreement with the former group and my client would see it as a distinct advantage if the CFO has previously managed a similar arrangement and expediently moved a business to be self sufficient in terms of reporting. Strong reporting and control skills are essential as is strong IT skills (relating to IT implementations). The person should possess a strong IT background and willing to roll their sleeves up and make things happen. Previous turnaround credentials would be invaluable. The interim role is expected to last a minimum of 12 months and longer term the interim CFO would be in pole position to take the role permanently ( which would then include an LTIP) if they were interested.
