New Job Lead Manufacturing Engineer - 353534634 Industry: Manufacturing and Production Job Type: Permanent Location: Hampshire, England Salary: £40000 - £45000 per annum Lead Manufacturing Engineer - Aerospace Lead designated team to deliver against customer requirements and in line with all policies and procedures. Review working practices and adopt a continuous improvement culture. Engage and develop all members of the team to ensure individuals are working to their optimum capability. Working with the H&S officer, owns, drives and complies with health, safety and environmental regulations continually reviewing, evaluating, recommending and implementing safer systems of work Comply and promote the company values and Code of Conduct Demonstrate leadership qualities acting as a role model and mentor Subject matter expert as per the skills matrix Meet customer expectations as an engineering ambassador for the company Ensure compliance to customer and 3 rd party requirements Chair Engineering Surgeries Acquire data, review and define action plans Via management and stakeholder meetings maintain compliance to governance Develop and deliver presentations to senior management, regulatory agencies, customers, and suppliers Recognised authority for MRB disposition & corrective action (role dependent) Recognised authority for FAIR review & approval (role dependent) Recognised authority for conducting audits on behalf of the customer (customer dependent) Represent Engineering at Contract, Purchase order reviews for change and configuration control Must have cross-functional / organisation competencies Lead audits internally/externally Attract, recruit and retain high calibre personnel Define, manage, prioritise and deploy individuals to ensure effective and efficient use of resources in order to achieve KPIs and assigned responsibilities Manage and develop the team from induction and throughout their career via performance appraisals and management of the skills/training matrix Drive best practise and continuous improvement through team members ensuring the latest technologies and methodologies are utilised Manage the team to ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures and company code of conduct Give support, direction and coaching where necessary to any team member as required Maintain a consistent and fair approach in any disciplinary or grievance ensuring correct procedure and best practise are adhered to If you would like to discuss this in more detail please contact Tim Dracup on 0161 233 0034 or email tdracup@aktonrecruitment
