Im working with a client who are looking to bring on a 3rd Line SOC Security Specialist to join their large, UK wide team. This position will require you to travel onto a client site in Swindon occasionally as well as a major SOC in Sevenoaks. The rest of the time you will be set up to work remotely from home. The role requires you to deliver technical support on all security incidents. Key responsibilities include: - Working on complex incidents and problems as well as changes in the operational environment. - Work closely with project and/or delivery managers to implement security solutions. - Produce and support firewall policies and function configuration builds. - Carry out security solutions consultancy for customers/clients. - Integration testing on new products or services. - Mentoring 2nd line support staff. - Attending meetings on client sites. Potential candidates will have: - A strong and proven background in Network security technologies. The vendor specific technologies my client are interested in are any of the following; Cisco ASA, McAfee Secure Firewalls, Juniper Firewalls, F5 LTM/ASM/GTM and Cisco Ironport. - Previous experience working in a 3rd line support role. Experienced 2nd line SOC specialists keen to make the step up to 3rd line will also be considered. - A technical certification would also be advantageous. CCNA, CCNP, CISSP etc. - The ability to provide technical support to clients both on site and also remotely. - Excellent client managing abilities. - The flexibility to travel to Swindon and Sevenoaks when not working remotely from home. - The ability to gain SC clearance.
