Job summary To deputise on behalf of the clinical services managers and provide positive leadership and support to the multi disciplinary care team within the Hospice. To provide specialist nursing care and advice in support of and facilitation of high quality care to users and carers without supervision and in collaboration with the multi disciplinary team. Responsible for support an development of care team including probationary, supervisions and appraisals. Participate on a rotational basis in care related meetings. To assist in the delivery of services in line with OFSTED, CQC and CHKS. This role will encompass a number of specific responsibilities as well as general responsibilities and a full job specification will be provided upon application. Essential Requirements *The successful candidate must be an RCN registered nurse with a current NMC pin *Independent /Supplementary prescriber or willingness to undertake the course *You will have Paediatric Palliative care training or proven knowledge about the principles and theories underpinning childrens palliative care. *Understanding of the key aspects of grief, loss and bereavement. *Experience of supervision of staff and of a team *Knowledge of/experience in symptom care/palliative care If this is something that interests you then we want to hear from you!
