Nissan is currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill an opening for a Parts Quality Engineer, level 4 ECL (Engineering Career Ladder) at our Smyrna, TN manufacturing facility. Job Description: · Use quality background / skills to resolve supplier quality concerns · Work with suppliers on root-cause investigation, develop and implement solutions, and verify countermeasures at supplier location · Analyze data from suppliers and make assessments · Develop and present reports to management regarding body shop quality · PSW approval for purchased parts · Performing supplier quality audits Position Requirements: · BS in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) from an accredited institution · Minimum of 5 years experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment (preferably automotive). · Strong proven problem-solving ability · Experience with tooling and how it affects parts · Good understanding of vehicle build · Parts approval (PPAP / PSW) experience with emphasis on purchased parts · Strong verbal and written communication skills · Strong interpersonal skills · Thorough knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control) All of us at Nissan - regardless of functional area or expertise - share a passion to design, manufacture and sell high-performance, fun to drive vehicles.
