New Job Probation Officer - Midlands - DM273 Industry: Public Sector and Government Job Type: Contract Location: West Midlands, England Our client is looking for a Probation Officer to work as part of a case management team in the Midlands. The contract will initially be until the end of March with the possibility of extension beyond that. Applicants must hold a Diploma in Probation Studies or a Qualification in Social Work. It is essential that applicants have previous experience of offender management in a probation service and are familiar with Oasys and N Delius. You will also need a Full UK Driving Licence and access to a car as the post will be based over 2 offices. The successful applicant will be responsible for a caseload of high risk offenders carrying out the full remit of case management. You will be required to represent the service in court, and write both pre sentence reports and fast delivery reports on offenders. You will also be conducting offender risk assessments in order to protect the public, and ensuring offenders awareness of the impact of their crime on their victims and the public.
