New Job Product Technologist /QA Assistant - 5274SC Industry: Admin and Secretarial Job Type: Permanent Location: Sheffield, England Salary: c£18,000 Our client is a successful and rapidly expanding product development company supplying a wide range of products to some of the biggest names in the UK retail industry. The role requires experience or sound knowledge of technical and safety requirements for homeware, kitchenware and gifts. Working as part of a team, you will support our creative department by taking responsibility for all technical aspects of the products, and have the opportunity to become actively involved in the sourcing and development of innovative new products. Key responsibilities include: Product Risk Assessments Testing requirements and compliance to legislation Liaison with testing labs and manufacturers in the UK and overseas Management of technical files Quality assurance Factory compliance Product innovation Previous Product Technologist/QA experience in at least one of our product categories is preferred. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a high degree of organisation, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to create and manage technical folders for a diverse range of products is key to the role, therefore the necessary IT skills are a pre-requisite.
