Nissan is currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill an opening for a Production Supervisor - Body Assembly at our Smyrna, TN automotive manufacturing facility. POSITION SUMMARY: The Production Supervisor manages a group of production technicians in their assigned area. Provides technicians with the tools needed to perform their assignments, including process information, job allocations, training, equipment and other needed support; prepares reports and charts showing assigned areas progress regarding safety, production, throughput, scrap, attendance and budgetary compliance; ensures departmental goals of safety, quality, cost and time are met and maintains an atmosphere of trust and positive morale for the assigned zone; writes standard operation sheets for each job in assigned area. REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED Minimum of 2 years experience supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Automotive experience preferred, but not required. Good oral and writing skills and the ability to develop and analyze reports. Working knowledge of word processor, spreadsheet, and other PC applications to output reports with similar, non-creative formats is required. Process control knowledge through the use of SPC.
