New Job Project/Programme Managers - CPPPM0001 Industry: Consultancy Job Type: Permanent Location: City of London, England Salary: £40000 - £110000 per annum + Benefits + Bonus Programme Advisory Services / Programme Leadership / People & Programmes - Senior Consultant / Manager / Senior Manager levels £40-110k basic + benefits + bonus My client who happened to be one of the largest professional services network in the world, are looking to grow their Project/Programme Management Division further by recruiting project and programme management specialists of all levels with experience in the Financial Services sector, mainly in either Retail Banking, Capital Markets or Insurance. Their Project/Programme Management Division is a dedicated team of high calibre project and programme management specialists and the division is currently one of the largest capabilities in the marketplace. They are renowned for critical involvement in their clients largest and most complex programmes. Responsibilities This role involves: *Assisting with the design and development of programmes or project initiatives for a Financial Services client *Developing plans and managing critical paths through understanding of the inter-dependencies between workstreams *Co-ordinating plans across workstreams *Progress reporting, risk management and financial controls in relation to the programme or programme or project initiative *Preparing programme financial reports as part of PMO role and undertaking financial modelling to prepare budgets and business cases *Mentoring and managing less experienced members of the team Requirements To qualify you must possess: *Previous experience of managing and delivering projects, either working for a Financial Services institution, or for a consulting firm with experience of working with Financial Services clients *Knowledge of the Financial Services sector and current market conditions *Experience of assisting with the design and development of a programme or project initiative *Development of project plans across work streams and management of critical paths *Understanding and experience of project management methodology (example PRINCE 2) *Experience of having effectively managed dependencies in a project *Experience of mentoring and managing others in a project team *Progress reporting and risk management *Preparation of programme financial reports as part of a PMO *Undertake financial modelling to prepare budgets and business cases *Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills Consulting Point are an award winning executive search & recruitment firm with offices in the UK and USA.
