New Job Purchaser - Engineering materials and equipment - MR/Purchase Industry: Purchasing and Procurement Job Type: Permanent Location: Norwich, England Salary: £23000 - £25000 per annum + Healhcare, Pension, company bonus scheme Office based, near Norwich, this is an exceptional opportunity to join a market leading specialist industrial plant and equipment manufacturer working within the food production sector worldwide, with equipment installed in fifty countries to date. The majority of equipment is custom built to suit the unique requirements of food processors. The company has an unrivalled level of experience across all sectors such as bakery, dairy, seafood, prepared meals and meat / poultry. There may be a requirement for occasional international travel. The Purchaser will be responsible for the supply of materials, parts and equipment under assigned procurement categories. *Material planning and issuing of purchase orders *Monitoring open purchase orders *Managing new vendor qualification within assigned categories *Maintenance of supplier base *Managing RFQs *Negotiation of contracts *Monitoring price indexes and analysis of price developments *Analysis of historical usage and forecasting for long lead material *Analysis of historical usage for identification and monitoring of slow moving inventory *Analysis of inventory under assigned categories and implementation of procurement strategies to meet inventory value and inventory turns targets *Resolving issues under account payable module: price/quantity difference between PO and receiving report/invoice *Bachelors degree in a relevant subject *Minimum of two years experience and/or training in Supply Chain or Procurement; or equivalent combination of education and experience *Minimum of two years of experience in manufacturing environment *Knowledge in metal fabrication processes, ability to read drawing *Knowledge in Material Planning and Inventory Management *Experienced in working with ERP system - Purchasing and inventory modules *Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel in particular) *Understanding of food processing products is considered an asset KH Recruitment Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
