New Job Senior Hardware Engineer - 1465676/MHWAH Industry: Electronics Job Type: Permanent Location: Newport, Wales Salary: £35000 - £40000 per annum We are searching for a Senior Electronics Hardware Design Engineer to work on the next generation of remote data collection and leak detection products. The role requires flexibility and a broad range of experience and skills. Undertaking various design activities including generating requirements specifications and internal development/customer facing documentation, innovative circuit design, analysis and validation testing. Other tasks will include investigating technical problems and implementation of solutions. Applicants must have at least 3 years experience of electronic hardware engineering which includes some or all of the following: Essential: Degree level or equivalent Analogue and digital electronics including: Low power battery operated design. Microcontroller based product design. Low-medium power switching technologies. Linear and Switching power converter design Design techniques including: Schematic capture Circuit simulation EMC and ESD robustness Volume manufacture RF circuits Desirable: Low power RF/GSM and antenna design. Embedded C/C++ ATEX/IEC accreditation Altium Design techniques including: PCB design and layout FMEA Occasional international travel may be necessary.
