New Job Senior Java Developer - 17573 Industry: IT Job Type: Permanent Location: Houten, Netherlands Salary: Negotiable We are currently looking for a skilled Senior Java Developer with experience in a commercial environment. Job Purpose You will be working with other Senior Java Developers on the Cronacle team making a Java based process automation. Youll be working for the Development Manager using Agile processes on an up-to-date and evolving stack. Responsibilities - Work with the product management team to define, design and implement new functionality - Take ownership of the development process, taking ideas from concept to implementation using mock-ups and customer feedback as appropriate - Support and improve existing functionality of the product - Provide technical mentorship to your colleagues Required Skills - Hands on Java experience - Experience developing and deploying Java applications on multiple server platforms and databases - Ability to take responsibility for and solve customer and technical problems - Ability to work in a team on a project within tight deadlines - Good written and verbal English communication skills - Knowledge of TCP/IP and IP networking concepts, particularly HTTP. Desirable Skills - Strong database skills, preferably with multiple databases. - Be able to understand execution plans and to optimize queries. - Experience shell scripting, preferably with knowledge of cross-platform scripting. - Experience in developing distributed applications. - Knowledge of Operating Systems: Windows, UNIX, (especially Linux, also Solaris, AIX, HPUX), VMS, z/OS. - Experience implementing J2EE web applications using JSP, Servlets, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. - Experience with the following Java/J2EE APIs: JDBC, JMX, JAXP and generic XML APIs. - Experience with development tools: Eclipse, Clover, YourKit, JUnit and Ant.
