New Job Site based Maintenance and Recycling Operative - PTR14/731 Industry: Engineering Job Type: Permanent Location: Tamworth, England Salary: £19000 - £20000 per annum + benefits Split Site and Recycling Operative Tamworth, Staffordshire to £20k + vehicle + ben Our client has been established for more than a quarter of a century and specialise in the planned preventative and reactive maintenance and repair of the complete range of special purpose waste processing machinery, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit an in house fabricator and general yard duties person to act as a recycling operative when on site to complement their established and professional team and operate between a static location and field service capacity basis as required. For 26 weeks of the year, the successful candidate will be based at a single location in Tamworth and responsible for performing the planned repair and refurbishment of a range of waste processing machinery. Additionally you will undertake general cleaning and maintenance duties as well as the detailed preparation of machines including sanding and dismantling prior to painting and general rebuild and maintenance activities including fabrication (therefore Welding experience is essential), whilst adopting a flexible approach to also work on a reactive basis when breakdowns are received and where prompt turnaround times for customers are paramount. It is an essential requirement for this position that you demonstrate proven fabrication and welding experience, as well as a full clean UK driving licence and a Forklift Truck licence. For the remaining 26 weeks of the year, you will be provided with a company vehicle and tasked with visiting customer sites throughout the UK, working as holiday cover using balers and compactors and being required to separate materials within the factory. In order to be considered for this varied and challenging position, you will demonstrate a flexible, self-motivated and pro-active approach with strong organisation and planning skills and the ability to integrate quickly as an effective team member. You will possess excellent customer facing communication skills at all levels and be both commercially aware and capable of operating with the minimum of guidance whilst ensuring the highest levels of professionalism and customer satisfaction are maintained at all times.
