New Job Solution Architect (Banking) - SolArch/8253/P Industry: IT Job Type: Permanent Location: Cheshire, England Salary: £60000.00 - £110000.00 per annum + Bonus, Pension, Insurance, etc Solution Architect (Banking) Overview: My financial client is looking for a Solution Architect (Banking) to join their team. The Solution Architect (Banking) will define and develop solution architecture for a variety of engagements up to and including large scale major programmes. This will likely involve more than one architecture domain and therefore the deployment of a team of multi-domain architects and specialists. The Solution Architect (Banking) will work on varied assignments providing expert client-side consultancy, mentoring, design authority project delivery and acting as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams alike. Role and Responsibilities: *Solution architecture process and design/solution ownership on major engagements. *Help the client deliver their anticipated margin through technology risk management; whilst helping the customer deliver the intended business benefits through architecture led continual improvement. *Lead and deliver strategic business, information and technology service architecture development working as part of a multi-disciplinary team using existing frameworks. *Solution architecture delivery, to support internal projects and programmes establishing the alignment of the business & governance models within the organisation. *Supporting the business development activities; shape and design solution architectures for a proposal; attending client meetings with the sales team. Skills and Experience: *Deep knowledge of banking areas including: Core Banking, Mortgages, Loans / Loans Origination, Payments, Banking Regulations (AML - Anti Money Laundering, MBR, CCA, KYC - Know Your Client / Customer, etc). *Extensive solution architecture delivery is essential - depending on seniority, would have led or been key team member for the delivery of solution architecture from scope to run. *Experience in design and delivery of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA). *Strong knowledge of SOA frameworks and their application. *Demonstrable subject matter expertise and senior IS&T manager relationships (for senior candidates). *Lateral thinker with outcome-oriented approach to architecture enabled value creation. *Rounded architecture experience across all aspects of change programmes in terms of profession and technology (programme design & management, transformation, IS&T strategy, infrastructure and networking, applications, security, BI, content management, service provision, programme and technology governance etc). *For senior roles, must have recently worked as CTO/CIO role equivalent with hands on enterprise architecture expertise or already acting in enterprise architecture role. *Experience in projects with offshore was major component is very desirable. *Experience of working in Business Development would be advantageous together with experience of consulting led and relationship led selling a must. *TOGAF architect certification is desirable but not imperative More information is available on request.
