The role requires the individual to deliver business and team project tasks in a timely manner, also supporting and advising other technical teams on Active Directory technologies. The Responsibilities: Active Directory issue investigation and resolution Resolution of issues within agreed SLAs Reporting progress and resolution when and where needed. You will be responsible for the ownership Active Directory team tasks and initiatives to maintain the environment This will include planning and performing tasks such as DC promotion, AD site & DNS updates, account updates. Added to this you will plan and deliver small internal team projects within agreed timeframes. Responsibility for Active Directory tasks within Business projects Working with PMO and other teams on business projects. Providing advice on Active Directory technologies and resource requirements and deliver within project timeframes. To be considered for this truly superb role you will need to have most (if not all) of the following - 5+ years experience with Microsoft Active Directory and LDAP directories; The concepts and logic of planning, implementing and managing a global Active Directory; - Experience of working within an ITIL compliant IT function preferred - Experience of managing small infrastructure projects preferable. Your in-depth knowledge of 2003/2008/2012 Active Directory technologies including but not limited to…. - DNS zones, AD srv records - AD trusts, site & subnet design - AD backup and recovery - OU design and delegation - Group policy settings and design - NTFS permissions, SIDs, GUIDs, SMB, CIFS, NFS - PKI & ADFS, SSO, Kerberos delegation - IPSEC and firewall considerations - DFS Experience of Quest tools such as Recovery Manager, Change Auditor, Intrust, Spotlight, Active Roles, Directory Analyser and Directory Troubleshooter preferable. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Powershell, VB, .NET, batch files is preferable. Experience with advanced monitoring tools and resolutions for issues that arise in Active Directory HP server technologies such as HPSIM, RDP rack and blade servers and also blade centers. Understanding other vendors such as Dell and IBM are an advantage Strong troubleshooting skills (Hardware & Software). A solid understanding of TCP/IP network concepts and network trouble-shooting. Excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to help resolve technical issues. Sense of urgency for issue resolution. Certified MCSE or MCITP Enterprise Administrator is preferable.
