New Job Valve Design Engineer - 56/I0978 Industry: Engineering Job Type: Permanent Location: Brighouse, England Salary: £25000 - £28000 per annum THE CLIENT: This well-established Brighouse based company can offer full time role as a Valve Design Engineer. THE JOB: Reporting to the Engineering Manager / Supervisor, your role will include but not limited to:- The preparation of General Assembly and manufacturing drawings utilising Autodesk Inventor/ Cad packages The preparation of Bills of materials within the companys MRP system (Syspro) The preparation of installation, operational and maintenance manuals The design and development of new and existing valve products to meet both industry and customer specific specifications typically to ASME VIII, ASME B16.34, ASME B16.5, API 6A, 6D Design codes Assisting in day to day trouble shooting and problem solving with regard to product performance The preparation of valve factory test procedures CRITERIA: Broad knowledge and experience in valve design. Understanding of drawing standard BS8888 (formerly BS308) Excellent skills in working with 2D and 3D drawing packages, ideally 3D Autodesk Inventor and 2D Auto Cad The ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences Demonstrated ability to work well within a team Strong mathematical and analytical skills, Proficient with Microsoft Office Packages, Experience with a MRP system Syspro, Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering The new position is ideal for a motivated candidate with a desire to enhance his/her engineering skills within the engineering department. Experience of pressure vessel design is preferable but not mandatory as training will be given to the right candidate. BENEFITS & SALARY: The hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 5.00pm and Friday: 8.30am - 3.45pm and you will be entitled to 20 days holiday plus stats. The salary is £25,000 - £28,00 per annum however this is negotiable.
