New Job Waste Compactor Operators/Waste Operatives - LHRWM201311 Industry: Travel and Tourism Job Type: Temporary Location: Hounslow, England Salary: £6.50 - £6.75 per hour Following the award of a significant new contract our client has instructed the Premier Work Support Heathrow office to recruit committed, enthusiastic individuals who are able to demonstrate dedication and pride in their work. Working within the waste team successful candidates will be able to demonstrate ownership and pride in collection and compacting of waste from the Airport Terminal Area. The waste team will be responsible for keeping their areas free from waste build up, clean and tidy whilst maintaining a high level of health and safety compliance. Role Purpose: To provide our customers with an efficient professional attitude throughout the airport terminal, following agreed work practices and demonstrating a high degree of personal appearance at all times, ensuring compliance to company policies and procedures. Working Hours: Part time/Full time Role Purpose: To ensure all waste products are safely and environmentally removed from terminal buildings and disposed. Role Objectives: *To keep terminal buildings free from waste *Sort waste according with recycling guidelines *Understand and work within health & safety requirements/regulations *To complete thorough visual quality inspections. *Complete any necessary paperwork and reports. *To provide a professional service and represent the company to customer satisfaction. *Have regular communication with zone controllers to update on progress and report any issues. Duties and Responsibilities: *Moving bags, wheelie bins and recycling bins and boxes. *Sorting recyclable materials. *Recording the amount of waste collected. Skills and Qualifications: *Fast learner, work well in a team but able to work alone at times. *Readily adaptable to any changes that arise in the operation. *Ability to work safely in a very busy environment under time limitations. *Ability to understand verbal instructions for reasons of health and safety. Candidates must have been resident in the UK for the last 5 years, provide a full 5 year checkable work/education history. Candidates must have no unspent criminal convictions.
