New King Crimson Live Album Jan. 13, 2015....tracks taken from their widely lauded 2014 Tour, a laureled tour amongst tours since 1969 so lauded and laureled that at least four laureled and lauded box sets have been released. What if the best band in the world went largely anonymous amongst the fans of music? To those missing out on an amazing journey, its sad, but for those in the know, it makes the music all that more special. KC is a delicacy best served live amongst the slack jawed newbies, but lets be honest, the discography is very fine...very very fine....Steven Wilson has remixed all of their albums along side Fripp since 2009, up to Discipline, and they have never sounded better, in both their new stereo mixes and the other worldly surround sound mixes. The best KC line-ups have usually been regarded as 73, 74, 72, 69, 71, 80s, 90s...but this new seven-piece, with three drummers, two guitar, sax/winds, bass... they may have saved the best for last.... Robert Fripp, the best musician that too few know about....hasnt been this happy since he was hanging out with the Punks and the New Wavers in NYC in 78.... Its like, Jimi Hendrix went about anonymous for 40-years...wouldnt you like to see the best guitar player of all time, (at least according to Jimi), when maybe this is your last shot?
