New Labour Minister of State at the Department of Jobs, - TopicsExpress

New Labour Minister of State at the Department of Jobs, Enterprises and Innovation Ged Nash has issued a statement on the waste industry. I know what you are thinking surely it is in support of the locked out Greyhound workers but alas in their continued quest to be more blueshirt than the blueshirts, it concerns the introduction of binding pay rates for bin workers across the waste industry. Greyhound are delighted with this proposal which they hope will legislate for the 35% pay cut that they are demanding be accepted by the workers they have locked out of their jobs. The race to the bottom which was inevitable when this vital service was privatised has well and truly begun. Sinn Féin will continue to support the workers and call on the government to intervene and make the Greyhound owners use the industrial relations mechanisms available.
