New Mexicos Animals Need Your Voice! Dear New Mexico Supporter, The ASPCA is excited to host “Advocate for Animals” meetings across New Mexico in May. We are joining with Animal Protection Voters and Trap Free New Mexico to bring these free, open-to-all events to a community near you. We’ll share tips for becoming a great citizen advocate for animals and build momentum to change the laws that change animals’ lives. We—and New Mexicos animals—would love to have you there! At these meetings, ASPCA’s Senior Grassroots Advocacy Manager Jessica Johnson and APV’s Program Director Laura Bonar will: - explain the basic framework of legislative process; - introduce the key animal issues we can expect to see before the New Mexico Legislature and how you can make a difference in how legislators vote; and - connect you with other caring people and build unstoppable momentum to pass stronger laws for animals We hope you’ll join us so we can work together to protect New Mexico’s animals! Grassroots meetings are critical to building a strong base of advocates to help us lobby for animal protection. If you are passionate about protecting animals, this is your chance to learn how to make a difference for animals in your state.
