Quintayo, who represents Southern and Eastern Mindanao, replaced Zenaida Pawid, who has been appointed NCIP commissioner representing Region 1 and the Cordilleras. Other newly-appointed NCIP commissioners include Percy Brawner representing Region 2; Bayani Sumaoang representing Region III and the rest of Luzon; Dionesia Banua representing island groups of Mindoro, Palawan, Romblon, Panay and the rest of the Visayas; Datu Cosme Lambayon representing Northern and Western Mindanao; and Era Espana representing Central Mindanao.
