New Orleans has a higher ratio of crafts artisans than any city its size in America. They help create magic in our festivals and Mardi Gras. They also help repair our antique homes and furniture. French Quarter buildings require a special type of cement so that historic structures dont crack [modern cement would be a disaster!]. Tonights Anba Dlo Festival in the new arts corridor of St. Claude Avenue will showcase some of these wonderful paper mache pieces for the official New Orleans kickoff to Halloween. @morganmolthrop for #artistspaces
