****New Pastor**** We would like to send out a big welcome to our new Pastor and his family! On January 12, 2014, we welcome Pastor Mark Wilson, his wife Rhonda, and two sons: Josh (22), and Ben (18). We are so very excited and blessed to have them be a part of Gods family at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church! We know we are headed in a new, bigger and better direction with the new year! Here is his Bio: Bio for Mark Wilson Pastor Mark Wilson was born and raised in the Lebanon/Boone County, Indiana area and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1983. Brother Mark married his high school sweetheart, Rhonda, in 1985. In 1991, they were blessed with the birth of their first son, Joshua, who is now 21 and in his last year of college getting an associates degree in computer technology. In 1995, God blessed them with a second son, Benjamin, who is 17 and in his senior year at Heritage Hills High School in Santa Claus, Indiana. In his earlier years, Brother Mark spent several years working in the workforce as a certified welder, and 9 years working for Marathon Oil Co. (formerly Rock Island Refinery) in Indianapolis and 4 years working for Public Service Indiana/Duke Energy at the Cayuga generating station. In 1999, Brother Mark surrendered to the call to ministry, and he and his family moved to the campus of Clear Creek Baptist Bible College in Pineville, Kentucky, where he attained his Bachelor of Arts in Ministry majoring in Bible. After graduation in 2003, Brother Mark was called as pastor of Petrey Memorial Baptist Church in Hazard, Kentucky. Then, in 2005, Mark accepted the call to First Baptist Church, Pierce City, Missouri as their senior pastor. The Lord then brought him and his family back to Indiana in 2008 where they currently reside and serve at Chrisney Baptist Church in Chrisney, Indiana. Brother Mark has also attended The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, and he affirms the Baptist Faith and Message of the Southern Baptist Convention as a basic statement of belief. In addition to his bachelor’s degree, Brother Mark was licensed to the ministry in 2000, ordained in 2001, and began preaching at age thirty-five. In his spare time, Brother Mark is an avid sports fan and loves to play golf, fish and snow ski.
