New Photo of Sean Penn in The Gunman Action Film, From Director of Taken. Open Road will release Sean Penns first action movie, called The Gunman, in theaters on February 20th, 2015. And today, we have a new photo of the actor from the movie. The story centers on an international operative named Martin Terrier (Penn) who is betrayed by the organization he works for and must go on the run in a relentless game of cat-and-mouse across Europe.
