New Police Recruits march into camp 13:22 Today More than one hundred young men and women marched into the Police Academy in Nasova in Suva this morning as new recruits. The group will undergo intensive physical training as well as theory classes over the next six months. Another group consisting of University graduates will undergo training for one year as cadet officers and graduate as Inspectors. Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro says, the training prepared for these recruits is different from that of the past. What the aim of the Commissioner is that once these officers are out from the six month course they would have gained enough knowledge to equal an officer that is out on the field for at least more than five year experience..thats something we’re trying to implement for this round of course and there will be different aspects that will also be included in it. An official ceremony to kick start the training will be held on Wednesday morning at the Police Academy where the Acting Commissioner of Police Ravi Narayan will be chief guest. fbc.fj/fiji/11616/new-police-recruits-march-into-camp
