****New Review From All for the ❤️❤️❤️ Review Team **** Reviewed by Maria McDonald from Surrender to Books blog facebook/surrendertobooks Bad Son Rising - Review 3.5 stars I wasn’t sure what I expected when I started this book. I realise that it comes as a follow on from the Needing Moore series, which was about the father of the main character in this book. I, however, never read the previous series and felt it read perfectly fine as a standalone. The book had drama, it had the hot misunderstood bad boy with the well behaved wallflower, who didn’t want to be attracted to the aforementioned bad boy as she is sure he will break her heart. Zac Moore has only ever broken hearts, but this time with one look, he is ready to relinquish his heart; to her; Liliana Castillo. The only problem is he’s not good enough for her, he’s broken and scarred and she’s pure and deserves perfection. When one thing after another seems to go against Zac and he finds himself in another country doing something worthwhile and being someone he didn’t think he could be, he doesn’t believe his luck when the one girl he has been thinking about, craving, silently wishing for, is in the same place at the same time. His life is perfect once she succumbs to his charms. But a twist and turn here and there and he loses her. No. Thats not strictly true. He pushes her away, for more reasons than I think he truly realises at first. We wait for him to awaken from his woe fest and go get his girl. I liked this book, it was entertaining and fun. It wasn’t amazing, but it did have something going on almost all the time. There were very few lulls and I enjoyed seeing his relationships develop as I loved the side characters like his best friend Liz. This is for a lazy Sunday when you’ve done all your housework and the dinner is in the oven and you can just relax. It won’t make your brain hurt or you cry ugly tears, it will just give you a story that will take you away for a little while.
