I am so glad that the returning guests are noticing the many upgrades of the resort over the past month: “Amazing Experience at Ogopogo Resort” 5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 August 2013 NEW We discovered Ogopogo Resort four years ago and fell in love with it on our first visit. Since then, we come back every summer to unwind and refresh, and we always enjoy every moment spent there. We think Ogopogo offers everything one could ask for at a lakeside resort. The location has gorgeous views; the resort is spacious and well-kept. The cottages are always very clean, comfortable, and come fully equipped. The Mountain Lake is so great for swimming and many other water-based activities. Our Ogopogo vacations are filled with swimming, canoeing, kayaking, hiking (Frost Center trails, Haliburton Sculpture Forest, Dorset tower to name but a few), taking scenic drives (highway 35 is the favorite one), or relaxing by the water in cozy Muskoka chairs and chatting with other guests while enjoying the campfire at night. We love the special atmosphere at Ogopogo. It is very friendly and laid back place, and it feels like we are in the company of close friends. This time we were welcomed by the new owners, Katherine and Todd, and we were impressed with all the improvements and upgrades introduced just in one month of their ownership. All the beddings and towel sets are brand-new, and so are most of the kitchen utensils, dishes etc. A nice LCD flat screen TV with countless channels came in place of the older unit. We also noticed that new handsome barbeque sets came in place of the older and smaller ones at each cottage. The grounds now offer a greater variety of equipment for playing ground games, kayaking, canoeing and the like. We have always been in the care of exceptionally friendly, welcoming, dedicated owners who take pride in what they do. It makes us feel good to know that with Katherine and Todd, who are caring, enthusiastic and committed, our favorite resort will continue thriving.
