New Scenario: Prakash Dahal’s press statement, threat to Prachanda and Baburam of a murder by own party cadre and the quarrel within Maoists in last few hours signify a great problem in the future days. Almost disintegration of a party within few years of coming into mainstream that aimed at ruling Nepal and changing policies signify the fundamental leadership issues. This clearly signifies that Maoist leadership never had a strong foundation that could sustain itself through thick and thin like Nepali Congress and CPN-UML had. Maoists never understood politics. All they knew was communist philosophy they borrowed from Stalin, Mao, Lenin etc. They never understood that it doesn’t matter how good a philosophy, it will not work if it is not used for the good of all. Any action that is done for selfish motive is bound to creative negative results, misery and unhappiness. This is exactly what has happened to Maoists leaders, followers and activists. It is useless for Maoist activists to blame Prachanda and Baburam at this moment because they themselves have committed great crimes and atrocities by blinding following their leaders. Any politics that is done for power and pleasure will not work in America, India or Nepal. They have all been tried by dictators and Kings of the past. When King of England tried to impose different taxes and law upon America without the consent of the American public in the past, the civil war broke out and Britain lost the entire colony. This eventually led to the foundation of federal republic of America that has set a great model for modern system of government. Nepalese leaders could learn a lot just by observing America and its leaders. Americans do not allow just anybody into political arena. Most of them are graduates from great universities and have had a great career in the past. Their track record is always in front of the public for them to evaluate their leaders. Nepalese citizens need to learn to evaluate their leaders too and only allow those that are qualified into the office. Now that Nepalese citizens are being educated at famous universities all around the world, Nepalese politicians need to examine themselves and their qualifications or risk being outdated. Because of the unqualified and stupid people in the political arena of Nepal, many well educated Nepalese think that it is beneath them to enter into the political arena. This has been the greatest tragedy of the country. Well qualified people need to build leadership and contribute in the formation of laws and execution of their ideas that can help millions of people inside and outside the country. These folks need to rise beyond their own status and think about using their talent to uplift Nepal. If we just become conscious of this fact, Nepalese that are well established in different parts of the world today could create a drastic improvement in the condition of Nepal and Nepalese politics. There is no doubt that there are plenty of resources and abilities among Non-Resident Nepalese throughout the world. Nothing is going to change unless we decide that enough is enough and begin leading ourselves. People do what they see and when they see their leader a murderer, thief, cheat, liar and immoral, they will follow the same. It is the old principle of “monkey see, monkey do.” The only option is examine our character and this I am especially referring to the leaders themselves. Leaders need to make substantial changes in the way they talk, walk, clothe and live. This is the greatest reason of American success since its foundation. Presidents like Washington, Lincoln and Reagan have set such an example that Americans have no option but strive their best to live by. Demagogues like Prachanda, Baburam and their wives need to understand that they are not above God. There is an intelligence being ruling the universe and nobody is above him. Every crime that Maoists and other politicians have committed will surely be punished in the coming days. Leaders need to humble themselves and begin ruling by inner voice than by a communist philosophy written by some demonic European like Stalin, Lenin or Chinese atheist like Mao.
