New Scientific Study- Institut Universitaire de Gériatrie de Montréal, (University of Montreal): Exercise is good for the brain and body. But what kind of exercise might be best for improving cognitive function? A new study suggests that it is not necessary to involve into high-intensity aerobic and strength-training programs, even mild physical activities such as performing tasks that targeted gross motor activities (coordination, balance, ball games, locomotive tasks, and flexibility) can have a powerful effect on boosting brain power. However, aerobics and strength-training are the only exercises that can have physical fitness improvements in terms of body composition, VO2 max, and maximum strength.
