New Secretary of FDOC will gross more than $23,000.00 per month. yet she has never stepped foot behind the razor wire and steel doors of a prison. Meantime, Officers have lost their lives, have been assaulted, and some have lost all dignity and gross that same amount of income at the end of the year after their taxes, mandatory retirement payments, and health insurance cost. The majority of us do it because we enjoy our jobs of being public servants. ???? I will just never understand why this administration insist on bringing outsiders in to run this department. Why not promote some folks who have dedicated their entire career to this department? Their are a lot of good people to consider and they are not all a part of the good ole boy system.
