New South Wales -- Severe Weather Warning Severe Weather Warning for damaging winds for people in the Upper Western and Lower Western forecast districts Issued at 3:24 pm EST on Sunday 22 September 2013. Weather Situation A strong trough will approach western NSW during Monday with strong to gale force northwest winds and hot, dry conditions expected in the far west of the state Monday. Damaging winds averaging about 60 km/h with gusts of about 90 km/h are forecast to develop in western parts of the Upper Western and Lower Western forecast districts during Monday. The State Emergency Service advises that people should: Move vehicles under cover or away from trees. Secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony. Keep clear of fallen power lines. For emergency help in floods and storms, ring your local SES Unit on 132 500. The next warning will be issued by 11:00 pm EST Sunday.
