New Thought Education NEWS and a Ballroom Dancing Silver Medal! Im so excited to share with you the latest blog from one of our founding NTE consortium members, Ipek Love. Shes co-chair of the Parent Council at The Waterfront School in Toronto, Canada and a forward thinker when it comes to creative ways to educate and parent. Sometimes, as parents we may worry about our kids. We may worry about whether or not theyre getting everything they need, we may worry about their future, we worry about them not being able to do the things they truly desire, along with a whole host of other things our minds may come up with. Ive learned over time, that worrying is not a productive way for me to spend my energy. Ive also learned that worrying does not benefit me, or the person I am worrying about. Just recently however, my oldest of 3 sons, Dante, who perseveres with Quadriplegic Spastic Cerebral Palsy, brought my understanding of this to a whole different level. I went that night to support my friend, Debe Arlooks amazing photography exhibit in their cool new space. Amy had a fun photo booth there. I recognized her.
