New Urban Leadership Initiative Seeks First Fellows: Improving our urban communities requires a strong pipeline of emerging and existing leaders dedicated to addressing and solving pressing issues. To meet these challenges, MetroMorphosis is launching the Urban Leadership Development Initiative (ULDI). This year-long program will teach 12 individuals how to identify opportunities, develop innovative solutions and build coalitions designed to foster positive, long-term change. ULDI fellows will be exposed to six months of engaging dialogue, dynamic guest speakers, and some of the daily challenges within the Baton Rouge community. Partnered with a local non-profit organization for the remaining six months of the program, ULDI fellows will develop and implement a personal project designed to improve and/or address a specific urban neighborhoods need. Urban Leadership Development Initiative is open to persons 18-40 years Dates to Remember: Sunday, April 20, 2014- Applications will be accepted until 8:00 pm. May 9, 2014- Successful applicants will be notified by e-mail. June 13, 2014- 12-month program will begin.
