New Year ~ It has been a year....when I try to think of all - TopicsExpress

New Year ~ It has been a year....when I try to think of all that has happened and to put it into context, as I am wont to do when wrapping up the old and beginning the new, I can only say that it started sadly with the loss of two of our Moriarty alumni: Kelly Box and Bernice Basset Trumper. Perhaps there are others that I am unaware of? It is hard to think that at so young an age they are here no more. It makes me all the more glad to see little glimmers of life from this group, whenever I see your posts. When I think of our graduating class, the Class of 81, I realize that we are mostly introverts - well, except Monica. We always love to see how she and her family are doing - a worthy leader! The rest of us are a little reticent about sharing, so thankfully, we have the extroverts from other classes to help us along. People like Kristy Jones Spainhour, one little, very special power- packed bundle of enthusiasm, with new things going on all the time! And Nick Fleury - genius, hero and gifted encourager! We see you all and appreciate you! And there are the moments that even the introverts just bubble over and cant help shouting out to the world that life is good - mostly in precious photos!....Sometimes, when it is hard, we share those things, too. One thing I do know about this New Up-and-Coming Year: It will be full. Full of hard things, and helpful things, happy and sometimes hurtful things, triumphs and tragedies, replete with heroic as well as helpless moments. I wish you all the very best, as you go across the middle. It is a football term. I know very little about football. All I know is that going across the middle makes you a little vulnerable: Across the middle – Refers to running a pass route in the middle of the field. This can be a dangerous area for a receiver if the quarterback throws the ball in a place where the receiver needs to extend his arms to catch the ball because more defenders will be able to put a hit on the receiver. Receivers can prove their toughness by frequently catching passes across the middle. May you catch all your passes and prove your mettle this year! And may your hearts be full as God blesses you, right across the middle! p.s. We really dont catch them all, you know.... but we can always Blame it on the Boogie. ;) Happy New Year!
