New Year is a religious festival. Muslims, please dont take part in it. The earth is NOT 2015 years! Im sure we all know that at least. 2015 AC stands for After Christ and BC stands for Before Christ. Its the Christian calendar or Gregorian calendar. We all use these years because it is commonly known as such in almost every walk of life today. For the most part, we have no choice because thats what most of the world uses to communicate with dates. But that does NOT mean that we should celebrate the so called new year! Now AC and BC are commonly known as After Common-Era and Before Common-Era to make it seem secular. As Muslims, we dont (or shouldnt) even celebrate the New Year on the Lunar calendar (After Hijrah), let alone the Christian calendar. We have two Eid Alhamdulillah! Please be proud of your identity (Muslim) and do NOT try to imitate others. If you havent yet realised how blessed you are for being Muslim, then you have a bigger problem than you know. On the Day of Judgment, others would cry and WISH they were Muslims. One major part of eemaan is to believe with certainty! And how can we be certain without questioning and constantly seeking knowledge? Muslims should NEVER just follow the crowd like sheep or donkeys. Lets use our intellect! If we dont appreciate this blessing, then Allah could easily replace us with others who would VERY WELL appreciate it and die on it! May Allah forgive us and guide us to the straight path. P.S. Please appreciate those who tell you the truth and stop saying Dont judge me. I also appreciate those people the most because I believe they care about my dunia and Aakhirah unlike those who lie to me in order to please me. Wa Allahu alaam.
