New Years Reflections: Thinking back on past New Years I decided to merely sleep through them .,..,Pausing to remember the past is something I choose not to do , because it reminds me of the things that have hardened my heart,overwhelming loss; shattered dreams; even scar tissue from broken heart ,disillusionment, and disappointment. To avoid the pain , I simply turned off my feelings causing my heart to become a petrified rock - heavy, cold and rigid . This year is different; I am richer than the richest . As bad as the last few years have been , I am now at peace with myself and more important with God . Its all about family , memories and God . So this year my New Year is all about being thankful : Thankful for plenty- of things to eat and wear, of shelter and warmth ; of beauty. Plenty of things that money cant buy such as tenderness and inspiration and revelation and insight . Thankful for health, for family, for friends . And thankful for the courage to go on trusting people, risking love , daring to believe in what could be even though it has failed in the past . That is my New Year promise to me ! Make yours matter too !
