New Years is upon us and I still got more to do for this year! An amazing roller coaster this year but it has landed me in a place that I can build my career and do what I love to do full time, hopefully for good this time around. I have had to do a lot of hustling this year to be able to make ends meet and get where I am today and still have more hustling to do but at least not on the brink of total ruin as I was earlier this year. Some of the positive highlights include. Being the 1st person hired by the city to focus on skateboard programs, summer camps, events and development was a huge step forward and an honor to be apart of as we reached out to hundreds of kids this year in the city, getting them involved in skateboarding as well as learning about life through skateboarding. It was a success and developing the program even more this year, even able to higher a small staff to mentor this summer! Traveling once again teaching all sorts of subjects through skateboarding in the Philadelphia area for the Franklin Institute as well as in Miami Florida. MCing and raising money for various groups along the east coast. We have been developing this aspect of our business and have partnered with some great groups such as Action Science and Woody Itson . We are already set for next year starting in April for the Philadelphia Science Festivalval! Also did my first show for a major pharmaceutical company this year in Chicago and at my alma mater High School as the keynote presentation for Health and Wellness festival. Got called back to consult on toys again this year and develop some of their program for the launch of the new ZB Freestyle Board by Tucker Toys dropping in Toys R Us in Feb and available direct in March! Also working Toy Fair in NYC this February as well. tuckertoys Re launching One Skateboard Co. with new graphics and Pro models with art by JJ J.j. Rudisill Turned longtime rider Greg Pachell Pro with his 1st signature model available now for Winter / Spring Currently building out a new space for skateboarding / acrobatics in Port Richmond part of the city to teach after school programming, clinics and workshops as well as a place to train / session and other cultural events / initiatives! I am very grateful for the opportunities I have been given no matter how small or unglamorous they may have been so that I can pro vide the basics for my family, all my family,friends and supporters who have believed and backed me in one way or another giving me confidence, encouragement and help when I was my lowest point. All I know is hard work and my trust in myself, others, God and the universe as a whole. How far will this experience go? Who knows but I am going to do everything that I can to make a positive impact and hold nothing back for 2015.
