New Year’s Eve takes us off to sea again for our voyage back to New York. The day is spent strolling the deck, sun bathing at the pool and relaxing in a hot tub. During Afternoon High Tea we watched as they strung thousands of balloons on the ceiling in preparations of the celebrations. The festivities started at dinner and continue through midnight. It was great fun to bring in the UK New Year at 7pm with other Brits at the Red Lion British pub with singing, cheering and a big screen TV of celebrations from Trafalgar Square in London. Then off to dance in the local New Year to the 20 piece orchestra in the ballroom with the ceiling covered in balloons waiting for the count down to midnight. Spent a few moments chatting with the Captain of the Queen Mary as the count down began to midnight.
