New York Army National Guard Recruiters at Schoharie County Sunshine Fair A military bulldozer like this one, being operated by Pfc. Michael Bykowicz in Fort Plain earlier this month during flood response operations, will be on display at the Schoharie County Sunshine Fair COBBLESKILL, NY (07/24/2013)(readMedia)-- Visitors to the Schoharie County Sunshine Fair will be able to get a look at the type of New York Army National Guard equipment which was put to work in the Mohawk Valley when flash flooding hit there the first week in July. New York Army National Guard recruiters will have a military engineer bulldozer and other equipment used by the 204th Engineer Battalion on hand for fair goers to take a look at. Reporters looking for a different angle on their fair coverage are invited to stop by the Army National Guard recruiting display at the fair to check out the gear and talk to Soldiers about the Army National Guard. The New York Army National Guard, with a membership of about 10,500 Soldiers, is currently at 100 percent strength. National Guard Recruiters, though, are continually seeking new Soldiers to fill job education opportunities available in units across the state. Throughout the summer months New York Army National Guard recruiters will be manning booths at county fairs to let the public and potential Soldiers know more about the force.
