New York City born Anthony Perkins was an impeccable choice to play Norman Bates for Hitchs 1960 classic Psycho. The novel of the same name written by Robert Bloch was based on the true accounts of serial killer Ed Gein. Hitch pulled a lot of tricks to slip passed the censors evoking actual stabbing during Janet Leighs shower scene. The 1982 sequel Psycho 2 wasnt actually that bad,in fact it had some fabulous moments
