New York is the 2nd largest market of Illegal ivory in the world. Every time someone buys illegal ivory these are some of the people profiting off of this trade: al-Shabaab (Kenya mall attack), Joseph Kony Leader of the Lords Resistance Army (Child slavery and soldiers), Boko Haram (Chibok schoolgirls kidnapping), and Janjaweed (Genocide in Darfur). Every 15 mins an elephant is killed, at this rate elephants will be extinct in 11 years.
