New Yorkers, Why you should Call Your Congressmen representatives? - TopicsExpress

New Yorkers, Why you should Call Your Congressmen representatives? The senators front office has to report the # people called to the senator. The more calls, the more it becomes a serious issue, which raises concern as the public is displeased. The goal is for the issue to be taken to a foreign relations committee, where they can propose a bill. There, they can further the issue to international counterparts, which puts direct pressure on certain international commissions. We need to advance the situation by irrational countries like Montenegro and Macedonia which have been violating further human rights; Montenegro wants to arrest Albanians that celebrated in the streets, hooligans attacking citizens, terrorists attacking the Albanian Embassy. Macedonia just banned Official Communication in Albanian - a clear minority violation. This will eventually highlight all the prejudice and injustices that has been subjected towards Albanians for decades. ___________________________________________________________ WHAT TO SAY ??? I am a supporter of the Albanian Roots organization and I am supporting the Albanian Equality Movement . I am calling to voice my concern regarding the recent brutality on the Albanian soccer team suffered in Serbia. This is a catalyst that brings up decades of discrimination and prejudice. I would like my congressman to put pressure on appropriate US and International Institutions to investigate the issue and denounce the acts of racism, discrimination, and violence. Also, I would like my congressman to initiate a human rights mandate to protect Albanians treated as second-class citizens in Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Greece. WHO TO CALL ??? Gillibrand, Kirsten E. - (202) 224-4451; (212) 688-6262 Schumer, Charles E. - (202) 224-6542; 212-486-4430 #serbiaalbaniathetruth #supportalbanianequality
