New development: 35 Townhomes, all affordable housing rentals coming to 413 E. Wister Street. This is a Womens Community Revitalization Project development. Homes will be available for purchase after 15 years. Right now 413 E. Wister a parcel of land that almost looks like woods, lots of large trees other vegetation This is a few blocks down Wister off Germantown Avenue, across from Woodford Tennis Club. The townhouses will range from two to four bedrooms. Looks like there will be 32 parking spots as well. This stretch of Wister is a little desolate I think. Around the train station too. Lots of dumping here. The rendering shows that it looks like it will open out to Collom Street, the next block over. One thing that might be adjusted is what looks like the parking lot in the rendering. A parking lot should be concealed more if possible, not face right out onto the block. Granted the block is pretty messed up and has some kind of vacant messed up building across from where the development, but still. Plan for the future. I am interested in attending the meeting when they present their plan. I heard it would be December 8 but havent received confirmation yet. Also, would like to know if there will be street trees planted along Wister and Collom.
