New fighting broke out Friday in Bentu the capital of oil rich - TopicsExpress

New fighting broke out Friday in Bentu the capital of oil rich Unity State. Friday also marked the ninth month of this civil war between the Dinka and the Nuer tribes. So far the other major tribes have decided to stay out of the fighting. Over the weekend the rebels and government troops engaged in heavy battles, both sides once again blaming the other for breaking the cease fire agreement. The death toll in this conflict has been grossly under reported. Accounts of mass graves have been reported by several sources. It appears that the government forces are being propped up by Ugandan solders sent by the Museveni regime. Please continue praying for peace, which will require a change of heart for both sides. Pride, arrogance and animistic beliefs are at the heart of this war.
