New from Fender and on the bench, the CHANNEL BOUND fingerboard neck USA Strat. Introduced last year on Strats and Teles, this unique design insets the fingerboard into the maple neck leaving a wood boarder that looks like binding, except a whole lot cooler! The feel is REALLY fantastic. The fret work on this is quite impressive, one of the best factory fret jobs youll see on anything. The neck is a smooth, very satin finish with a gloss face on the headstock. From all I can tell, a refret on these would be no different than a regular bound fingerboard. Great stuff, Fender!
