New-guard café racer A few weeks ago we reported on the café racer kit developed by Mid Life Cycles for Suzuki’s popular retro-single TU250X. It’s a work in progress. Keen TU250 owners are lining up for the professionally-designed and fabricated bolt-on rear frame hoop and alloy inner guard and their choice of café racer or stylish two-up custom seat. We also offer a range of handlebar, tail-light, turn signal and other options plus mufflers to free up that Singular Sound. Now we’ve added a stainless and polished shortie front guard (fender) to the kit. Next up will be rear-sets and some custom paint options. The TU250X Café Racer Kit is available to order, with fitting available if required. We can supply the full kit or key components such as the steel bolt-on sub-frame and alloy inner guard (plus seats to match each configuration), leaving the owner to choose the style of ‘bars, lights, exhaust, paint and other features that will turn their capable-but-quiet commuter into a lightweight café racer.
