New-ish oily user here! Hi, Im Kelly. I cannot WAIT to share with you all what just happened in our home!!! Our youngest son suffered six years of abuse and extreme neglect before God gave us the blessing of being his parents. This unpredictable beginning left him in a constant state of fight/flight/freeze, creating intense fear that manifests itself as unpredictable aggression and long rages. These are especially apparent when little things change in routine, like this weeks vacation. About two hours ago, a small change sent him into a chain reaction of fear that he was going to miss out on the fun, immediately, we saw him tighten his muscles, clench his jaw... and the rage began. I had just finished (literally two minutes before), taking notes on how the PSK can be implemented to help a child with a traumatic past find healing. I literally grabbed my oils and notebook in one hand, and whisked my son along in the other, taking him to his room where we could find quiet. The first oil begins with Valor, and he screamed at me while I got it on his feet. Then I let him breathe it from my cupped hands, and he was still very stiff, but not yelling. By the third oil he was completely relaxed, and.... SMILING! These rages typically last 90 minutes. This was over in probably three minutes!!! (God will give me peace, instead of I express peace.) He followed them all, and hugged and kissed me when he was done. This moment. This day. It is worth far more than what we paid for our kit. Our son, he is smiling! It usually takes three days to see him so relaxed after an event like this. Since we began using the oils, we are seeing the logic part of his brain healing as he is beginning to be able to understand cause/effect circumstances. But this. Today? This is unbelievable, to be able to lead him into peaceful, joyful, behavior... he sees ME as being the bringer of the calm, so it is facilitating attachment!
